**Job Title: Electrician - Food Manufacturing Industry**

Are you an experienced and skilled Electrician looking for a rewarding opportunity in the food manufacturing sector? We are currently seeking a talented Electrician to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our electrical systems and equipment.

**Position Overview**:As an Electrician in our food manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and machinery. Your expertise will contribute to the smooth operation of our production processes, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment, and machinery.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults, taking prompt corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Perform electrical installations, upgrades, and modifications to comply with safety and industry standards.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to support overall facility maintenance and repairs.
- Adhere to electrical safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and inventory of electrical components.
- Assist in the development and implementation of energy-efficient practices.
- Provide technical support and guidance to production staff regarding electrical issues.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as an Electrician in the food manufacturing or related industry.
- Trade qualification or relevant certification in electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and motor controls.
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations is advantageous.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Flexibility to work on a shift basis and be on-call when necessary.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and best practices.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From R13,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
