**We require 3 technician assistants on a month-to-month contract basis and for a period of six months.**

The Client focuses on the marine sector and mainly on the marine engine sector, overhauling and servicing engines ranging from 9 Hp to 4000 Hp

**The work scope and requirements as follows**:

- Must be well spoken,
- Must be able to follow orders and instructions,
- Punctual and trustworthy,
- Must have a good understanding of how a diesel engine works
**The work will entail the following**:

- Cleaning of engine components both in the workshop as well as on site (on ships).
- The individual will be exposed to various cleaning agents (mainly paraffin), and the engine components that require cleaning will be dirty soot coated and oil coated engine parts therefore it will be a dirty job.
**Training will be provided in-house.**
- The individual will be paired with a technician who will oversee the assistant and who will hand out tasks as required.
- Apart from cleaning engine components it will be expected that the individual also ensures that the workshop be clean all the time which will relate to sweeping and mopping when required,
- Off-site the same will be required.
- In addition, the individual will be required to ensure that the technicians toolboxes be clean as well as the company vehicles washed and cleaned regularly.
**It’s a lot of hard work with heavy components,**

**We expect that the individual be drug free and of sober habits (we will conduct drug screening on our end as required), and the reason for doing so is because we deal with international shipping agents who also conduct regular drug screening on-board these vessels**

Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays when required.
