Role Profile
The Technical Signatory will play a crucial role in our B-BBEE verification team.
This position is responsible for the technical review and signing off on B-BBEE certificates and verification reports, ensuring accuracy, compliance with relevant legislation, and alignment with our systems and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement documented systems and procedures to deliver verification services.
- Manage project specific verification teams and associated timelines.
- Review and sign off on B-BBEE verification certificates and reports.
- Ensure all verifications are conducted in compliance with the B-BBEE Act, Codes of Good Practice, and relevant Sector Codes.
- Conduct detailed independent technical reviews of verification documentation and processes.
- Provide guidance and support to the verification team on technical matters and interpretation of B-BBEE codes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes and developments in B-BBEE legislation and codes.
- Liaise with clients to clarify and resolve any issues related to B-BBEE verification.
- Conduct internal quality checks and audits to ensure the accuracy and reliability of verification outcomes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of management system.
- Guide, supervise and review work performed by analysts.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance the technical skills of the verification team.
- Document control, scorecard validation, WIP control and reporting, timesheet control and reporting.
- Analyse complex ownership structures.
- Supervision of newly appointed staff
- Co-ordinate technical queries with ABP, DTI and B-BBEE Commission.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree (Business, Finance, Law, Economics).
- MDP - BBBEE qualification
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in B-BBEE verification or a related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Technical Signatory.
- Accreditation as a Technical Signatory by SANAS.
- Comprehensive understanding of the B-BBEE Act, Codes of Good Practice, and Sector Codes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
