**Responsibilities**:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, diagnose problems, and implement solutions promptly.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, including system updates, backups, and antivirus software management.
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Document technical procedures and create user manuals for reference purposes.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in the IT industry.
- Ensure the security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
- Identify computer or network equipment shortages.
- Identify and prepare hardware for safe disposal.
- Monitor and maintain technology for maximum access.
- Perform standby duties.
- Research current and potential services and resources.
**Skills Required**:
- Strong foundation in Computer Science & Information Technology.
- Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking technologies.
- Experience with Servers.
- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office suite. SAP experience is an advantage.
- Familiarity with networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated individual, able to work under pressure and take initiative.
- Good administration skills.
- Ability to adapt to new software and technologies.
- Providing individual support and training upon request.
- Work within a ticketing system and create documentation for new processes.
- Taking new users through the orientation process.
- Providing recommendations about support and information access.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
**Salary**: R20 000,00 - R25 000,00 per month
