**REQUIREMEMNTS**

**Professor**:

- PhD in Physics or equivalent coupled with at least ten (10) years teaching experience in a tertiary institution or seven (7) years professional experience.

**Associate **Professor**:

- PhD in Physics or equivalent coupled with at least ten (10) years teaching experience in a tertiary institution or seven (7) years professional experience.

**Senior Lecturer**:

- PhD in Physics or equivalent coupled with at least five (5) years teaching experience in a tertiary institution or seven (7) years professional experience.

**Duties**:

- Teaching and mentoring
- Compilation of teaching portfolio (e.g. teaching outcomes, teaching methodology and assessment of students)
- Curriculum development and review
- Application of appropriate teaching approach/methods and rationale
- Resource mobilization, research capacitation and Manuscript writing
- Attendance of conference proceedings
- Supervision of postgraduate projects
- Participation in community-based projects
- Resource mobilization for community projects
- Participate in Senate and Senate Committees.
- Development of new programmes
- Review of programmes
- Prepare and propose budgets
- Plan and conduct departmental meetings
- Manage departmental resources (finance, facilities, equipment and staff)
- Assure the maintenance of accurate departmental records
