With our project pipeline continuing to expand, we are seeking intermediate to senior environmental scientists experienced in environmental chemistry, contaminated land and remediation. Your role as environmental scientist will include working closely with our US and Canadian teams on large, contaminated land and remediation programmes, while based in South Africa to:

- Developing environmental outputs through various stages of the project.
- Analyse geochemical data to determine the extent and type of contamination.
- Prepare detailed reports on site conditions, contamination levels, and remediation efforts.
- Prepare and review technical reports, and other project documentation, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment as an experienced Environmental Scientist.

What are we looking for from you?
- A relevant university degree in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, chemistry, or environmental engineering.
- Proven experience in environmental site assessments, environmental reporting, remediation, and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering practical and innovative solutions.
- Proficiency in using GIS and other environmental assessment tools.
- Being able to work well in a virtual environment.
- Contributing to the team and taking accountability.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in environmental research or consulting
- Proficiency in environmental sampling techniques and data analysis
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations
- Experience with GIS software and environmental modeling tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for fieldwork
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment
- Certification as a Professional Environmental Scientist (PES) preferred
