**Job Title: Barman/Barmaid (Bartender)**

**Job Overview**:
The Barman/Barmaid will responsible for creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for customers at a bar. They will play a crucial role in crafting and serving a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring a smooth and efficient bar operation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Mixology: Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and soft drinks. Have a good understanding of mixology and be able to create unique and appealing drinks.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take drink orders, and engage with patrons in a friendly and professional manner. Attend to customers' needs throughout their visit and ensure a positive and memorable experience.
- Beverage Recommendations: Offer drink recommendations based on customers' preferences and the bar's specialties. Provide information about different types of beverages and their ingredients.
- Bar Maintenance: Keep the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked. Monitor and restock supplies, such as liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and utensils, as needed.
- Cash Handling: Handle cash and process credit/debit card transactions accurately and securely. Ensure that the correct change is given to customers.
- Compliance with Regulations: Adhere to governing laws related to the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages, including age verification and responsible serving practices.
- Beverage Presentation: Pay attention to the presentation of drinks, ensuring they are aesthetically appealing and served at the appropriate temperature.
- Safety and Hygiene: Follow strict safety and hygiene standards, including proper storage of beverages and disposal of waste.
- Knowledge of Menu: Familiarize yourself with the bar's drink menu and any specials or promotions, able to explain drink ingredients and options to customers.
- Handling Customer Concerns: Address any customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally, seeking assistance from management if necessary.
- Upselling and Promotions: Suggest and promote bar specials, events, and promotions to increase sales and customer engagement.
- Collaborating with the Team: Work closely with other bar staff, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of service and an enjoyable experience for guests.

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge of various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails and mixology.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and well-stocked bar.
- Attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of drink orders.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (e.g., kegs).
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as bar hours often extend beyond typical business hours.
