Reservation Consultant

Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- To deal with reservation enquiries, bookings, deposits, cancellations, confirmations, pro-forma’s
etc. procedure
- To deal with the waitlists and complimentary reservations as per procedure
- To ensure that provisional bookings are followed up
- Check for double bookings
- Maximise occupancy with liaison of the reservationists, Reservations Manager and the General
Manager
- Maintain good relations with all other departments
- Balance occupancies daily
- Ensure that all filing is up to date
- Maintain guest history as per procedure
- Ensure credit policy is adhered to
- Follow up on travel agent voucher correspondence and other documentation that might be
outstanding
- Ensure the smooth running of the reservations department
- Check arrivals
- Check groups - check payment received
- Daily reports to be completed and sent to accordingly
- Check up on no shows and cancellations
- Reporting to directors

- Dazzling telephone and communication skills
- Friendly but professional work ethic.
