A vacancy exists for Senior Buyer at our Head Office (CSA) Branch in Helderkruin reporting to the Procurement Manager and Chief Procurement Officer. The overall purpose of this position is to manage the smooth, efficient and accurate administration of online auctions. The position performs a variety of tasks related to managing the transactions, process communication, data analysing and Customer Service.

**Experience, Requirements and Qualifications**
- Grade 12 - Matric.
- No Criminal Record or any pending cases.
- Previous Auction, Procurement, Logistics Experience.
- Technical Background advantageous.
- Excellent Computer Skills with good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Data Analytics.
- Working Knowledge of SAP advantageous.
- Excellent Administration Skills.
- Must be able to communicate fluently in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to liaise professionally with personnel and customers at all levels.
- Ability to work without supervision and under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Must have a valid Driver’s Licence.
- Must have own Reliable Transport.

**Key Performance Areas: (not totally inclusive)**:

- Develops and maintains vendor and service provider or supplier relationships.
- Sourcing of new suppliers for possible cost saving - Price comparison.
- Compliance: Oversees compliance and reporting as it relates to the procurement policies and procedures.
- Daily follow-up on outstanding deliveries.
- Cost Control: Regularly negotiate price reduction. Take remedial action to reduce costs.
- Attend Weekly/Monthly meetings.
- Process Driven.
- Data Collection from key stakeholders in the business.
- Market analysis with ability to actively identified valid supply alternatives.
- Ability to quickly obtain a working knowledge of the category at hand.
- Feedback to the stakeholders regarding process followed and outcome achieved.
- Implementation of solutions.
- Tracking of Savings Generated in the Auction / Solution implemented.
- Initiate vendor on-boarding process.

- Must be proactive when it comes to cost saving. Must be cost saving orientated and ensure that the company is always getting the best deal/value.
