Bakery Barista

**DESCRIPTION**

Haute Cabrière is seeking to appoint a Bakery Barista where duties and responsibilities will include customers in a polite and friendly manner, offering coffee choices, basic food preparation, cashiering and taking an active part in any unit sales promotion. Overall, a successful barista must be able to multitask, work well under pressure, and have a passion for making great coffee and providing excellent customer service.

**SKILLS TASKS**
- Previous work experience as a Barista and Waiter/Waitress.
- Hands-on experience with brewing equipment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to gauge customers’ preferences.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Relevant training is a must.
- Greeting customers as they enter.
- Providing customers with drinks and serving of wine tasting.
- Taking orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
- Serve beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries, and muffins.
- Receive and process payments.
- Keep the bar area clean.
- Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates.
- Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs.
- Comply with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items
- Stock take, counting of stock and placing of order when needed.

- Franschhoek, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
