**JOB DESCRIPTION**

Makoye Group need the services of an experienced, friendly and presentable Graphic Designer / Printing Shop Assistant to join our team. The business operates in Pretoria CBD. The individual would be required to work with and build long term relationships with existing and new customers.

Duties will include:

- Bringing the brief and concept to life based on the client’s needs and vision.
- Keeping budget, time and production constraints in mind.
- Preparing mockups and presenting to clients before deciding on a final design/concept.
- Editing proofs to client’s specifications and getting signoff/approval before finalising artwork.
- Adapting and rolling out approved concepts to various media, above and below the line.
- Adhering to a client’s brand identity and guidelines.
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders about progress of projects and any issues that may arise.
- Working with external departments to extend concept and visuals to other internal and external marketing-related material.
- Making sure artwork is correct and supplied in the right format/sizes/colour codes before being sent to press and production facilities.
- Work on multiple briefs at the same time.
- Deal with staff issues.
- Assist with daily activities in the shop (in all aspect) both internal and external
- Developing concepts, graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos and websites
- Determining size and arrangement of copy and illustrative material, as well as font style and size
- Reviewing final layouts with management and suggesting improvements if required
- Liaising with external publishers on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met and material is produced to the highest quality.
- Completes projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Website maintenance and update
- Assisting with marketing activities.
- Create a weekly product catalogue design for marketing purposes
- Effectively manage multiple social media platforms.
- Post relevant adverts and articles.
- Create and send out newsletters.
- Writing articles and promotional material for the company.
- Effectively manage multiple social media platforms e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
- Multimedia Design and Content Creator.
- Managing the front shop area independently
- Welcoming and receiving clients
- Stock taking of stationery and items for sale
- Collaborating with service providers and ordering new supplies as necessary
- Typing up documents and editing existing documents on Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Nitro, etc.
- Meeting with management on a weekly basis to report back on problems, successes, etc.
- Working weekends
- Working longer hours when the need arises.
- Requirements:

- Must be Creative
- 1+ Years’ experience in a similar environment (internet café, print shop, copying centre, etc.) is essential
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Must be highly professional and presentable
- Excellent people skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office Product knowledge (including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
- Must have high energy levels and be self-motivated, tenacious, disciplined, “hungry for success” and resilient
- Must reside around Pretoria CBD

Pay: R4 500,00 - R5 000,00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Pretoria, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
