**Job Summary**
The Manager: Student Regulatory Affairs will be responsible for managing all activities related to the records and registration of students, school policies, quality assurance, student support, accreditation and certification. This role requires the person to have had experience in both leading teams as well as in an Academic Institution.
**Key Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Serve on the Academic Exco team
- Effectively manage the regulatory and student affairs team and budget
- Lead a small and deadline driven team
- Be the custodian of the School’s academic policies (update and rewrite as required) and student handbook
- Oversee all course and programme registration and advise students on how to meet qualification completion requirements and on how to resolve issues related to individual academic records
- Maintain the Internal Quality Assurance Management system and all quality assurance processes including internal and external moderation, the adherence of the academic governance systems and the functioning of the academic committees
- Serve on and chair designated academic committees
- Manage orderly, secure, complete and safe record keeping and data integrity according to legislation including student folders
- Ensure that technologies such as the Student Information System and Learner Management system are optimally used to ensure efficient academic administration processes
- Oversee the main programme and course categories on the LMS
- Oversee the production of academic transcripts, including providing resolution of student disputes as they relate to record
- Oversee and organise certification processes, including the printing, and reprinting of secure diplomas and digital certificates an diplomas
- Be the key liaison with the accreditation bodies such as CHE and Seta’s.
- Manage and contribute to all accreditation processes.
- Manage student support services including counsellor, peer mentors/ tutors, writing labs etc in collaboration with the Heads of Departments
- Develop integrated academic year calendars, registration calendars, and examination calendars and oversee the timeous communication of these to the relevant students and prospective students.
- Timeous reporting (on enrolments, student result, student statistics and effectiveness of student support services etc etc) as required by the executive and academic governance structures
- Manage the academic aspect of the graduation process including student graduation eligibility
- Manage the annual report
- Manage NLRD uploads
- Manage the school's librarians and academic information systems
- Oversee the SRC Elections and SRC engagement
**Qualifications and Experience**
- A Masters Degree in Education, Administration, Industrial Psychology or related field (A PhD or current enrolment in a PhD a definite advantage)
- 2-3 years of similar experience in an Educational Institute
- 1-2 years leading a team of administrators
- Experience with Google Workspace most specifically with Google Sheets
- Familiarity with Zoom and scheduling capacities
- Fine attention to detail is imperative
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Moodle LMS
