**PEROMNES GRADE: 09**

The incumbent will be responsible to administer bursaries and funds received from sponsors

and to adhere to sponsor’s funding conditions.

**Requirements**:
1) NQF Level 7 in Accounting /Financial management/Business administration

2) Minimum 4 years solid experience in Bursaries & loans administration in a higher

education environment.

3) Solid knowledge of NSFAS policies and guidelines (funding criteria, academic eligibility)

and all other statutory requirements a prerequisite.

4) In depth knowledge of the ITS Integrator Student Bursaries and loans sub-system.

5) Knowledge and experience in Bursaries suspense account reconciliations.

6) Knowledge of financial management principles

7) Ability to work independently, under pressure and meet deadlines,

8) Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to high standard of quality work.

9) Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

10) Advanced Technical expertise in Excel and strong in other computer software’s e.g. Word

11) Good communication and human relation skills.

**Duties**:
1. Liaise with sponsors on funding guidelines

2. Coding all NSFAS funded students

3. Receive and upload NSFAS funding lists.

4. Assist with registration process and remove students who don’t qualify for funding

5, Submit registration templates to NSFAS/Prefunded bursaries.

6, Receive payments and transfer to the relevant GLA account.

7, Disburse allowance to students as per NSFAS approved guidelines

8, Allocate NSFAS payments to student’s fee accounts

9, Match funding list to remove unfunded students before submitting for payment

10, Reconciliation of GLA and suspense accounts

11, Prepare memo to Finance for incorrect payments posted to GLA

12, Extract information on ITS (University students systems)

13, Provide students with SOP/ Bursary contracts and correct amounts to sign

14, Submit result and reports to sponsors

15, Arrange sponsor’s visit and venues, and inform students
