Carpenter/foreman

looking for an experienced Carpenter to work at our factory in Germiston (shopfitting and exhibitions installations)
- must be a good team player and be able to delegate to team mates.

- must have an eye to detail
- must be able to work nights and overtime to ensure deadline for client events are met.
- must have good knowledge of wood materials, tools, maintenance and cleaning workstation
- must be able to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully understand requirements
- must be able to do site surveys, take measurements and calculate size and material needed
- must be able to reduce wastage of material
- Cut, shape, smooth, fabricate, and/or install lumber and other material according to measurements
- Inspect areas to conduct repairs or maintenance

**Job Qualifications**:

- Drivers license
- 4-5 years of hands-on carpentry experience
- Great hand dexterity and an eye for detail
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
- Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.)
- Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings
- Must follow safety guidelines at all times
- Good knowledge of English
- Good understanding of basic math
- Good physical condition and endurance
- Matric certificate; Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is required
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.

**Salary**: R9,000.00 - R17,000.00 per month
