**Our client, a food manufacturer in Germiston is recruiting a Risk Manager with 2-3 years' experience in a similar role with SAMRAC and HIRA certification.**

**Minimum requirement**

***
- **SAMTRAC / NEBOSH IGC certificate.**
***:

- **HSE diploma in HSE and HIRA Training certificate is essential.**
***:

- **Min of 2 - 3 Years of experience as an HSE Manager or Risk Manager in FMCG environment.**
***:

- **Experience in managing outsourced service providers would be an advantage.**
***:

- **Experience in GMR 2 regulations and maintaining them.**
***:

- **Knowledge of HSE Management and control systems.**
***:

- **Working knowledge of all HSE legislation and Acts.**
***:

- **HSE data analysis and trend identification.**
***:

- **An auditing course or certificate would be advantageous.**
***

**Responsibilities**
- **Ensure legal compliance with all relevant Health and Safety Acts and legislations through implementing and maintaining standards and procedures ongoing training, coaching, and assessment evaluating and improving SOPs as needed.**
***:

- **Ensure business continuity by implementing and maintaining insurance-related standards, addressing audit findings, and putting emergency plans in place.**
***:

- **To continually build a culture of health and safety and zero injuries on-site by engaging with our employees.**
***:

- **Onboarding new employees regarding HSE requirements.**
***:

- **Arranging annual, entry, and exit medicals and reporting on them.**
***:

- **Creating and providing toolbox talks for the Invocoms.**
***:

- **Contributing to the site and corporate newsletter.**
***:

- **Addressing any unsafe behaviours and unsafe conditions.**
***:

- **Providing HSE legal compliance training.**
***:

- **Enabling and coordinating monthly HSE representatives.**
***:

- **Coordinating monthly firefighting drills and annual competitions.**
***:

- **Recognising excellence for the site when observed.**
***:

- **Reinforcing compliance with policies and procedures.**
***:

- **Advising the management team on all HSE risk mitigation matters.**
***:

- **Reporting and or recommending solutions on health and safety to management by improvement opportunities and or preventative measures.**
***:

- **Prevent incidents, injuries, and property damage by proactively identifying and addressing hazards to reduce and or minimise possible risks.**
***:

- **To eliminate and reduce loss and theft to the company by implementing control measures, proper investigation of any crime or loss incidents, and continuous improvement of the site and asset protection.**
***:

- **Manage outsourced service providers and ad hoc contractors through their relevant managers and the implementation and monitoring of performance against their SLAs and contracts in regular meetings and Invocoms.**
***:

- **Ensure continual development of HSE on-site through regular internal and external auditing.**
***:

- **To support management decision-making by regular reporting on HSE trends and KPIs and making recommendations on areas for improvement, guiding and advising the team on all**
***:

- **HSE areas for compliance, whilst executing HSE programs in line with the agreed budget and targets.**
