Front of House Manager

Texas American, an American Diner, based in Glen Ashley, is looking for an experienced Front of House Manager to join the team on a part-time basis (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays) This position will be open to go on a permanent basis after 6 months.

Front of House Manager Responsibilities

Customer Service:Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained at all times, handling guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and courteously.

Staff Supervision: Oversee and coordinate the front-of-house team, including hosts, servers, and bartenders, ensuring proper staffing levels and efficient operations during peak hours.

Training and Development:Train new front-of-house staff on restaurant procedures, service standards, and customer interactions. Conduct ongoing training sessions to enhance team performance and service quality.

Inventory Management:Monitor and manage inventory levels of front-of-house supplies, including utensils, linens, and cleaning supplies. Place orders with suppliers as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.

Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of dining areas, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety regulations. Address any issues promptly to maintain a welcoming environment for guests.

Menu Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of the restaurant menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergen information. Train staff to accurately describe menu items and make recommendations to guests.

Sales and Revenue Generation:Work closely with the management team to implement strategies for increasing sales and maximizing revenue, such as upselling techniques, promotions, and special events.

**Front of House Manager Requirements**

1. Experience:Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, with a strong background in front-of-house operations and customer service (3 years)

2. Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and management abilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve common goals.

3. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with guests, staff, and management.

4. Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

5. Problem-Solving Skills:Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to address issues quickly and effectively to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth operations.

6. Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations: Familiarity with health and safety regulations and sanitation standards applicable to the hospitality industry, ensuring compliance at all times.

7. Flexibility:Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's operating hours.

8. Passion for Hospitality: Genuine passion for the hospitality industry and dedication to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

9. Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail and high standards for cleanliness, presentation, and service quality.

10. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the management team and front-of-house staff to achieve common goals and objectives.

Please note, this position is on a part-time basis (Fridays to Sundays, 10am-9pm) but it will become available as permanent position once a performance review is conducted
