Senior Controller

**Senior Transport Controller - Lee Trans CC**

The Senior Transport Controller will be responsible for the daily management of truck drivers and will be responsible for the day-to-day duties that goes hand in hand with the daily trucking operation at Lee Trans CC.

**Operations**

Plan Loads for available Vehicles timeously as per customer instructions.

Dispatch drivers with correct route plan and documentation

Dispatch correct vehicles on time

Manage all exceptions, delays, off route diesel consumption, speeding and other

Manage all driver related queries and manage driver leave calendar and shifts

Capture all diesel

Debrief drivers daily

Manage POD’s daily

Report all incidents and accidents

Report and resolve claims

Attend to all breakdown immediately and report to the business

Ensure sequence transport fleet are maintained at all times and all planned services and repairs are executed

**Administration**

Ensure all PODs are returned and signed

Report and resolve all claims immediately

Communicate shift handover to night shift

Report delays and late arrivals

Manage and capture driver’s attendance and night outs

Manage all fleet equipment, ensure all equipment is signed for and frequently checked

Ensure proper shift handovers are conducted between controllers

Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly reports are accurately completed and communicated

**Tracking and Execution**

Communicate and book plan with all role players

Advise customers in any delays and missed slot times

Communicate report and act on all claims, new and old

Communicate any change in scheduled Transport plan with regards to breakdowns and delays

**Desired Experience & Qualification**

Minimum grade 12

Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in Transport

Ability to work under pressure

Computer literate

Good verbal and communication skills

Excellence driven and self
- motivated

Good time management

Ability to work without guidance

Takes initiative

Willingness to work flexible hours including night shift and on weekends. Shift work

Previous experience in Driving and interaction with customers would be advantageous

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Mobeni, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Data entry: 3 years (preferred)
