Job Requirements

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Environmental Science/Waste Management.
- Registration with relevant registration authority will be added advantage
- Minimum 4 years’ relevant experience.
- A valid Code B driver’s License.
- Must be available to address issues after hours or on weekends.

**Job summary**:

- Responsible for the supervision of all waste collection program activities.
- Responsible for the supervision, promotion and implementation of all recycling program activities.
- Responsible for planning of daily work schedules and timekeeping of work crews.
- Responsible for optimizing collection routes and ensuring full utilization of manpower and equipment.
- Responsible to ensure a healthy and safe work environment in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety guidelines.
- Responsible for completing and submitting injury investigation/workplace health & safety/University equipment/property damage/hired equipment reports and ensuring daily equipment maintenance is performed and co-ordinate preventative maintenance with Manager waste management.
- Assist in preparation of departmental budget and provide recommendations for capital expenditures.
- Create, revise and implement Standard Operating Procedures for the department.
- Other duties as assigned
