Credit Controller

**Key Responsibilities**
- Reconciling customer’s accounts whilst also loading invoices and required documents on customer systems.
- Processing chain store accounts and calculating monthly rebate provisions.
- Approving debtors clerks’ journals and reviewing rebates processed.
- Reconciling the trade receivables ledger accounts.
- Weekly reporting on cash inflow.
- Consolidating bad debts reports and managing handed over customers.
- Managing and reconciling the debtor-related ledger accounts.
- Reconciling and controlling all payment before delivery/COD accounts.
- Collecting outstanding monies owed on all accounts.
- Managing and controlling the performance of customer account maintenance, overdue balances and credit balances.
- Submitting statements and schedules on Retail customer portals.
- Allocating accounts according to remittances, process discounts and rebates.
- Improving customer service levels to facilitate and maintain mutually beneficial customer relations.
- Resolving problems and challenges that arise with Customer Accounts.
- Identifying accounts that need to be handed over to the Attorney and/or Debt Collector for legal action and regularly liaise with the Attorney on legal action taken.
**Minimum Qualifications and Experience**:
- Tertiary Financial Management qualification.
- Credit Management qualification is a must.
- Atleast 5 years’ experience as a Credit Controller leading a team of Debtors’ clerks.
- Proficiency in the English language required.
- Accounting software package experience (SAGE will be an advantage)
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Package.
