VACANCY - MACHINE ASSISTANT

A well-established plastic packaging manufacturer has a vacancy for a Machine Assistant.
The role is based in Cape Town, Southern Suburbs and will report to the Head of Bag
Making.

The job requirements and duties are as follows:

- Read and understand a work order.
- Inspecting materials to determine correct specifications.
- Ensuring that all required documentation is signed off correctly per procedures.
- Verify and ensure that packing instructions are followed.
- Recording checks during the production run.
- Labels and pallet labels to be recorded, verified, and signed off at the end of each shift.
- Performing line clearances at the end of each production run.
- Raising any required non-conformance reports.
- Assisting the supervisor with checking machines during production.

Minimum requirements:

- Grade 12
- Side Seal Machine experience preferred.
- Experience in flexible plastics manufacturing will secure you an interview.

The position will require occasional overtime and weekend shifts.

**Job Type**: Temporary
Contract length: 3 months

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ottery, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
