**Synopsis**
Our client is currently recruiting for an Integration Specialist. This role will expose you to a diverse working environment and the opportunity to connect with other individuals in the organization within the banking space. This is a contract vacancy.

Location: Hybrid, Johannesburg

Duration: Contract-based

**Qualification and Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience working as an Integration Specialist or in a similar role, preferably in a consulting or professional services environment.
- Proficiency in integration technologies such as API management platforms, ESBs (Enterprise Service Bus), iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service), and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Hands-on experience with programming languages commonly used in integration projects, such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of data formats and protocols commonly used in integration scenarios, including JSON, XML, SOAP, REST, and GraphQL.
- Experience with cloud-based integration platforms and services, such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Azure Logic Apps, or AWS Lambda.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in integration environments.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Certification in relevant integration technologies or platforms is a plus.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Develop, implement, and maintain integration solutions to meet client requirements, utilizing a variety of integration technologies and platforms.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and translate requirements into technical specifications for integration solutions.
- Perform system integration testing to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of integration solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to integration processes, including data transformation errors, connectivity issues, and performance bottlenecks.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams and stakeholders throughout the integration lifecycle.
- Document integration solutions, including architecture diagrams, configuration settings, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging integration technologies, trends, and best practices to continuously improve our integration capabilities.
- Participate in regular meetings with clients to review project status, discuss requirements, and address any concerns or questions.
- Adhere to project timelines and deliverables, ensuring that integration solutions are completed on time and within budget.
