**Trainer Assessor**

**Purpose of the Job**

To provide technical training in a timely, appropriate and cost effective manner. To also assist in maintaining the Training Database to ensure that employees are trained to Company standards and procedures.

- Internal: Operations Management, Design/maintenance engineers, Maintenance, /operations, team leaders, EHS and HR.
- External: Work with the design/maintenance engineers and maintenance, manufacturing /operations teams, and other ALSTOM sites
- trainers and training and accreditation bodies, agencies and providers

**Responsibilities**

1. To design and / or deliver technical training solutions to all maintenance staff, ensuring all documentation is reviewed and updated and accurate records are kept of training delivered, including assessments and reassessments

2. To maintain and update the Rolling Stock Training Plan and Training Database

3. To review the training material following any changes in legislation, Customer requirements and changes in technology

4. Ensure that all training records are kept in accordance with the Control of Records Procedure

5. To liaise with engineers, ensuring awareness of initiatives which may have an impact on training activities

6. Assist in Maintenance and safety investigations and closeout any actions / recommendations assigned to you.

7. Perform technical work and fleet checks as and when requested

In order to discharge safety responsibilities in a satisfactory manner you are required to:

- Obey all Rules, Regulations and Instructions applicable to the post and those applicable to the post holder.
- Obey instructions given by those in charge at places of work, except where you believe there is an imminent danger to yourself or others.
- Inform local management immediately if others are not obeying relevant Rules, Regulations and Instructions.
