Electrical Manager

Established in 1993, KLM Electrical and Computer Cabling is a South African, Gauteng based electrical contracting company contracted to some of the largest chain store groups in Southern Africa. We specialize in the complete electrical installation and electrical maintenance for these groups in South
Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Lesotho, Swaziland, Ghana, spanning multiple cities. We work closely with our clients, adapting and responding to their ever-changing priorities and needs, ensuring that projects are delivered using the latest, highest quality products available. Our team comprises 28 skilled electricians, four subcontracting electrical companies as well as operational staff. Our management team includes two members (Directors) and four managers. We are a Level 1 BBBEE company.
With an emphasis on relationships and customer service, KLM Electrical strives to be our client's most trusted and respected electrical service provider.

KLM Electrical is currently looking to hire an Electrical Project Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Assist in the development of estimates for the cost plan and project schedule
- Review electrical drawings
- Create, track and maintain project schedules and milestones to monitor project completion/progress
- Participate in all pre-construction activities, including pre-construction site meetings
- Proactively identify, address and resolve issues/problems as or before they occur. React positively to change
- Organize and supervise other foreman / electricians to meet project goals and performance expectations, in an effective and efficient manner
- Ensure projects are completed on time and maintain highest level of quality to ensure 100% customer satisfaction
- Coordinate on-site material for projects / staff
- Continuously monitor and enforce and ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures

**Education**:
Education to include knowledge acquired from working through the trade, construction related degree or a Technical College Diploma

Qualifications:

- A minimum of 10 years experience in Project Management of Construction or Electrical Trade

Experience
- Possession of Electrical Certificate
- The proven ability to successfully manage construction projects.
- Ability to read and understand project plans / drawings and specifications
- Excellent organizational, managerial and planning skill
- Ability to travel during working hours with company vehicle but must have own vehicle to report to work.
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of Construction (technology, equipment, methods), industry practices, estimating/budgeting, scheduling and safety requirements
- Working knowledge of contract language and legal requirements of contracts
- Proven team player
- Ability to resolve project disputes
- Self-starter with excellent positive attitude and initiative
- Ability to continuously demonstrate professional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone and in writing
- Excellent professional customer relations skills
- Ability to work independently and resolve practical problems, keeping all appropriate parties aware of issues or risks
- Efficient computer skills with Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel
- Understanding of product / material
- Outstanding time management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail while multi-tasking
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience in procurement processes is desirable.
- Must pass credit, and background check.
