Forklift Operator

4 X FORKLIFT OPERATORS

**Purpose**: To contribute to the delivery of exceptional service to internal & external customers by ensuring accurate and efficient stock loading by operating the Forklift/Front End Loader in line with Health and Safety procedures and as per the Invoice/Delivery Note resulting in zero losses of neither stock nor dissatisfied customers.

**Key Responsibilities**_:_
- Attend to customers in a professional and helpful manner
- Loading customer vehicles, delivery trucks and transfer trucks promptly
- Ensuring that stock is properly stacked and counted
- Up keeping of tidiness and cleaning of area by sweeping and ensuring good housekeeping
- Assisting customers with excellent customer service and knowledge of goods
- Maintaining the operational vehicles in good condition
- Reporting any problems and maintaining the record book
- Participate in perpetual stock takes
- Ensure 100% compliance to health & safety policies.
- Ensure good housekeeping of work area
- Perform any work related tasks as delegated by superior

**Requirements**_:_
- Matric Certificate or an Equivalent NQF4 OR Certification (attach copy)
- Or Possess a Valid Forklift Operator License (Not Expired) - (attach the copy)
- MUST have a minimum of 2 Years’ experience as a Forklift Operator
- Must have 20/20 vision and excellent hearing and listening abilities.
- Show excellent judgement and self-discipline while operating a moving machine.
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service and handle pressure
- Ability to numerically count stock - Mathematically Sound
- Ability to operate moving machines safely and competently
- Previous experience of stock in a Yard environment
- Knowledge of Building materials is essential.
- Ability to communicate effectively on all levels (verbal & written)
