Cad Technician

A leading manufacturer of custom design battery packs is looking for a young, energetic and self-driven member to join their team.

Sectors include the medical field, military field and everything in**-**between.

**_Job description_**

1. Generate and detail technical drawings of components, assemblies, tools and jigs.

2. Design and draw layouts as per engineering and customer requirements.

3. Creation of new part, Pastel codes and bills of materials.

4. Create full data packs and works instructions.

5. Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements

6. Read & understand drawings of Projects
- Assist in building commissioning manuals, prototypes and assembly jigs.
- Maintain and organize controlled drawings and data as per ISO requirements.
- Administer engineering change proposals.
- Maintain the controlled approved register.
- Ensure that all drawings and work instructions are kept up-to-date.
- Ensure the quality of products and services are maintained and propose improvements to the processes where necessary.
- Prepare and manage picking slips, concessions and engineering change requests.

**_Educational Requirements_**.

1. Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical science.

2. Diploma or Certificate in CAD design from a certified institution.

**_Skills and experience_**

**_1. _**A minimum of 3 years 2D and 3D Turbo Cad experience required.

**_2. _**Pastel experience required.

**_3. _**Any other 3D design experience advantageous.

**_4. _**Microsoft office.

**_5. _**Electronic knowledge highly advantageous.

**_6. _**Proven track record of drafting and detailing on projects.

**_7. _**Practical experience with electronic assembling advantageous.
- Good mathematical skills.
