Dispatch Supervisor

**South Africa - Gauteng**, Tshwane (Pretoria / Shoshanguve / Bronkhorstspruit)**

**R 14 000.00 - R 15 000.00 Monthly Basic Salary (50% Medical Aid Contribution & Provident Fund )**

**The purpose of the Dispatch Supervisor will be to ensure that all dispatch operations are executed seamlessly and efficiently, providing our customers with an exceptional level of service.**

**Responsible for the day to day supervision of the order preparation team and ensuring that all orders are processed and dispatched in a timely and efficient manner.**

**Duties as follows**:

- **Creating and maintaining dispatching plan schedules.**

- **Ensuring that all goods and materials are available when needed prior dispatch plan dates**
***:

- **Updating the dispatch plan as needed to reflect changes in demand or other factors.**
***:

- **Liaising with other departments within the company to ensure that orders are fulfilled and delivered to customers as required.**
***:

- **Responsible for stock and ensuring that all products are dispatched in accordance with customer demand.**
***:

- **Improve the efficiency of the order preparation team and reduce costs where possible.**
***:

- **Maintain accurate records (Picking Slips, Serial Numbers, Transfers, Delivery Note, of all orders processed, and dispatched as well as any issues or delays that may have occurred.**
***:

- **Report regularly to senior management on the performance of the dispatch team and make recommendations for improvement where necessary.**
***:

- **Ensuring that all members of the dispatch team are properly trained and have the necessary skills to perform their roles effectively.**
***:

- **Resolve any issues or queries that may arise from customers or other departments within the company in relation to orders being processed or dispatched.**
***:

- **Maintain a high level of communication with all members of the order preparation team and keep them updated on any changes or developments that may affect their work.**

- **Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations**
***:

- **Oversee the transportation and tracking of all dispatched goods and materials.**
***:

- **Ensure the maintenance of vehicles and equipment used for transportation.**
***:

- **Conducting with stock counts (cycle, quarterly, annual, adhoc)**
***:

- **Final inspection of finished goods before loading**
***:

- **Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.**
***:

- **Operation of the forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack and count merchandise**
***

**Qualification**

***
- **Grade 12 or equivalent**
***:

- **Valid drivers’ license**
***:

- **Valid Forklift License and experience driving**
***:

- **Physical ability to lift and carry items weighing +/- 40kg**
***:

- **Working knowledge in MS Word, Excel or similar computer software systems.**
***:

- **Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English**
***:

- **Basic technical skills**
***:

- **Detail-oriented**
***:

- **Trustworthy**
***:

- **Availability to work outside working hours (i.e.: Overtime, weekends, public holidays)**
***:

- **Own reliable transport**
***:

- **Residing close to office in Rosslyn**
***:

- **Availability after hours, on an ad-hoc bases**
