**BAND: EH - Durban**:
**Purpose of the Job**:
To lead and manage the operations team as per Operate Facility Work Process to ensure maximum level of operation, reliability and availability is aligned to HSE and Process Safety (PS) requirements while achieving financial and production targets in allocated unit.

**What you’ll have done before**:

- Baseline:
- 8 years' experience in Operations Shift Management/ Process Control
- Experience in managing others
- Experience and exposure in HSE Regulations & Compliance- Terminal Manager experience and shift manager experience
- Demonstration of organizational, planning, prioritization and leadership skills
- Ability to work in plant/ operations environment and at heights
- Standby required after working hours
- Advantageous:
- NQF Level 7 (Diploma/ BTech/Degree in Chemical Engineering)
- 4-8 years’ experience in Operations Shift Management/ Process Control
- Lead Engineer/ Area Specialist experience

**What you’ll be doing**:

- FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT:
- Prepare and manage allocated budget and report on agreed financial targets/measures
- Ensure the carrying out of constraint/ capacity creep analysis and identify profit improvement opportunities for inclusion in the plan
- Develop business plan and ensure production targets are aligned to the business plan
- Manage and mitigate process risk through identification of all issues and make recommendations

BUSINESS PROCESSES:
- Coordinate and review development of cross-functional objectives and performance
- Lead and identify improvements from stewardship process and ensure understanding and monitoring of the unit run limiters
- Drive equipment strategy and integrity
- Drive plans for equipment obsolescence
- Action inspection report findings and process engineering recommendations
- Identify and initiate reliability improvement, equipment limitations and profit improvement opportunities
- Ensure effective management of projects, and functional milestones

CUSTOMER MANAGEMENT:
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Identify and resolve interface issues with other teams
- Set clear expectations and approve Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) with other support functions

HSEQ & COMPLIANCE:
- Perform HSEQ Management responsibilities and ensure preventive plans and procedures are in place to avoid incidents
- Co-ordinate process safety start-ups review and ensure relevant procedures and safety plans are in place
- Identify risks and mitigation plans
- Ensure compliance through driving tier 1 audits and that the MOC process are developed and implemented
