Dispatch Supervisor

A leading supplier to the Restaurant and Hospitality Industries in Cape Town wants to appoint a Dispatch Loading Supervisor to supervise the loading of orders and from dispatch to customers. The person’s main duties will include:
1.1 Maintain work flow by motivating drivers and vehicle loading assistants to work fast and correctly.

1.2 Check that drivers and vehicle loading assistants are at work and report absentees timeously to Logistics manager.

1.3 Assist the Logistics Manager in planning the daily dispatch routes and loading activities.

1.4 Source completed invoices from invoicing personnel.

1.5 Ensure that all routes are documented on the trip sheet allocated to the delivery route.

1.6 Ensure that all individual orders are marked off on the correct invoice copy when loading.

1.7 Coordinate and control loading of final orders.

1.8 Ensure products is checked for deviations from quality standards such as labels, lot or batch numbers and packaging before loading.

1.9 Ensure good housekeeping practises in the dispatch area.

1.10 Implement and maintain measures to reduce wastage of and damage to stock being loaded.

1.11 Ensure that temperature controls for the dispatch area and all products to be loaded are adhered to.

1.12 Train new personnel in loading actions.

1.13 Manage, maintain and enforce food safety procedures and requirements in the dispatch area and on the delivery vehicles plus drivers and vehicle loading assistants.

Requirements and Experience:
A minimum of matric/grade 12.

At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

Good communication skills.

Must be able to fluently converse in both English and Afrikaans.

Thorough administration skills.

**Salary**: R12,000.00 - R13,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Montague Gardens, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
