Main Purpose:
Defines, Identify and Develops the Africa’s Convenience Retail (CR) and Other Non Fuels Retail (ONFR) offers, tactics and ensures effective implementation and EBIDTA delivery

Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leverage the internal and external resources required to develop CR and ONFR offer plan for new, existing sites and idle/unused spaces
- Develop a Partner portfolio for Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) and Other Non Fuels activities per country and negotiate for optimal profitability
- Provide offer solution and strategy for optimizing idle spaces and earning optimal income
- Develop supply chain strategy - Identify, select, negotiate with, appoint and develop Key Suppliers and/or Distributors for the Shops in different countries and regionally
- Develop CR Capability - Facilitate the creation and implementation of high-quality Category Plans and negotiation of the best possible commercial terms with Suppliers and CR shops income
- Structure and deliver regional best practices, strategies and tactics that strengthen the CR, Food and ONFR business through leading, developing and mentoring teams
- Utilize a wide range of influencing styles, gaining a detailed understanding of not only the product categories but also the market situation and business challenges in each country and provide suitable offers
- Work with different teams, regionally and in country to provide a convenience store ideal POS solution and map deployment processes
- Ensure an efficient and on time delivery of projects, develop a clear delivery process in collaboration with the construction and procurement teams
- In collaboration with marketing, develop and ensure effective implementation of tactical marketing plans and promotional campaigns that delivers customer centric value and supplier income
- Astute key performance indictors (KPIs) management - monitoring performance trends and lead country reviews with tangible improvement initiatives and actions to address issues, improve performance and minimize risk.

Key Challenges
- Speed of execution is essential
- Starting from a barely existing CR & ONFR portfolio with high expectations to accelerate ambitious delivery plan
- Leverage internal resources and stakeholders to get buy in and commitment to CR & ONFR initiatives and projects amidst conflicting priorities

SKILLS AND REQUREMENTS:

- 8 - 10 years of business management and/or development in Retail/FMCG/QSR related industries with tangible experience in performance delivery
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to maximise business opportunities
- Strong project management experience, skills and project evaluation tools
- Proven experience in business turnarounds and managing change - Extensive knowledge and experience of Retail Operations/Sales, FMCG, QSR business, and new business development - Advanced negotiation skills - Knowledge of general business processes and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, - Must be able to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and strict attention to deadlines - Be able to work in a matrix environment, independently, with mínimal supervision - Be Innovative and think global - Good organisation skills, collaboration and be accessible - Strong self - awareness - Be resilient

Preferred Education
- Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Finance, Business Management or Administration and/or other related areas
