General Worker

**GENERAL WORKER (WORCESTER)**

Join our dynamic team at DIESEL-ELECTRIC (CAPE), a leading automotive wholesaler committed to providing exceptional service to our valued customers. We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable individual to fill the role of General Worker at our WORCESTER Branch.

**Responsibilities but not limited to**

**Stock Receiving**:

- Accurately check incoming stock against supplier invoices and report any discrepancies to the

Warehouse Manager.
- Stamp, sign, and issue invoices to the GRN Clerk.

**Stock Picking and Packing**:

- Retrieve invoices and IBTs from printers and sort them for action.
- Accurately pick ordered items from correct bin locations and storage rooms.
- Perform quality checks on items and packaging, reporting any issues to the Warehouse

Manager.
- Clearly sign off on invoices/packing notes to confirm item and invoice correspondence.
- Check and co-sign picked items by co-workers when required.

Stock Storage and Handling:

- Operate handling equipment according to safety regulations.
- Load delivery vehicles as needed.
- Immediately communicate inventory discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
- Assist with cycle counts and semi-annual stock takes.

**General Warehouse Duties**:

- Maintain a neat, clean, and well-organized work area and warehouse.
- Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures.
- Report any health and safety hazards to the line manager and H&S representative.
- Effectively communicate and work in a team environment.
- Perform general warehouse duties as necessary.
- Assist with daily delivery duties as required.
- Perform any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Warehouse Manager.

Competencies Required:

- Matric
- Fluent in both Afrikaans and English, with the ability to understand and communicate effectively

in both languages.
- Demonstrated willingness to collaborate and assist colleagues, including suppliers,

transporters, sales staff, managers, and procurement teams.

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (required)
