**Job Purpose**:
Lecturing and academic delivery to ensure students are guided and supported in their learning to achieve module outcomes

**Preferred Education**:
Full technical waiver applies.

Ideal:
NQF 8 qualification in a design field, such as Multimedia Design, Game Design or Digital Arts with experience in 3D character animation.

Alternative:
An NQF-level 8 qualification in a related field or in education with an undergrad in a design field, such as Multimedia Design, Game Design or Digital Arts with experience in 3D character animation

**Work Experience**
At least 3 years lecturing and/ or work experience as a 3D digital animator. A layered portfolio demonstrating 3D animation skills is required. Proficient knowledge and skill of industry standard 3D animation software such as 3DS Max and MudBox and/or ZBrush and of game engines such as Unity and Unreal Engine is a prerequisite.

**Key Performance Areas**:
Preparation and lecturing as per the Module Guide

Teaching curriculum outcomes as per contract hours and stipulated per pre agreed timetable

Briefing students for assignments and providing feedback in a timeous manner

Presenting class marks and feedback to the Module Discipline Leader and discuss appropriate interventions for improved student success

Actively engaging with current trends in teaching and learning strategies within The IIE VEGA environment.
