**Introduction**

Our manufacturing client based in Pinetown is in search of a Logistics Supervisor to join their team.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

Manage and monitor departmental health, safety, environmental and quality aspects

Managing and leading the Logistics team, including receipting, deliveries and finished goods warehouse management

Supporting and maintaining sound and effective financial management principles by effective forecasting including effective cost saving initiatives (stock control management, transport cost optimisation, vehicle optimisation, Chep pallet control, etc)

Developing commercial strategic operational implementation plans aligned to strategic objectives (Business Planning Management) that includes medium terms business plans

Building solid relationships with employees, customers, suppliers, auditors, as well as internal support functions such as finance, planning, sales and production

Providing accurate commercial information by monthly commercial reporting that include logistics management, stock management, customer reviews and market intelligence, optimisation project initiatives, contractor management and audit report findings

Business Improvement initiation and implementation

Effective and efficient reporting to enable strategic decision-making

Effective people management

**Desired Experience & Qualification**

Matric

Diploma/Degree in Commerce / Supply Chain Management / Logistics

Minimum 10 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management / Logistics

Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment

Minimum 5 years' experience managing a logistics team
