**Job Description**:
**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:

- Minimum of 5 Years transformer manufacturing and planning experience
- Experience using planning in Syspro, MS Excel and Projects
- Industrial Engineering qualification would be an advantage

**EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Tertiary qualification in Operations/Production management/Industrial/Heavy electrical Engineering

**BEHAVIOURAL ATTRIBUTES**:

- Ability to influence decisions across all senior levels of management
- Excellent documentation skills with experience of creating support documentations
- Strong abilities to learn Various tools, procedures and ERP systems needed to perform the job.
- Strong time management and the ability to prioritise tasks, stick to the plan yet be flexible when required to the targets of the factory.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.
- Assertive and proactive attitude in order to prevent and resolve issues on time
- Proactive person who is responsible and takes ownership of tasks and sees them through to completion.

**AUTHORITY**:

- To assist the general manager with the coordination of production plans to minimise downtime and maximise output.
- To ensure on the time deliveries of transformers to customers without any delays and expedite the flow of work and materials between departments according to the production schedule and determine the progress of work, inventory levels and identify production problems.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Work closely with the GM in coordinating and planning production activities to improve runtime.
- Obtaining information from sales department regarding order intake and revenue requirements to prepare programme schedules to meet the customers’ requirements.
- Liase with suppliers and relevant stakeholders to ensure that materials are always available when required
- Investigate production problems
- Prepare production forecasts

**QUALITY MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- To enforce the requirements is ISO 9001 and the company quality management system as defined in the quality manual, management procedures, processes and operating instructions.

**ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- To enforce the requirements is ISO 14001 and the company management system as defined in the manual and operating instructions.

**OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS**:

- To enforce the requirements is ISO 18001 and the company management system as defined in the manual and operating instructions.
