Instrumentation Mechanician

**Job Advert Summary**:
**Minimum Requirements**:

- Grade 12/N3 certificate coupled with a recognized trade test in Instrumentation.
- 5 years post-apprenticeship experience in an instrumentation maintenance environment.
- Knowledge of Flow transmitters, Pressure transmitters, Temperature, PLC/SCADA as well as Analytical Instrumentation.
- Code EB Driver’s license and the ability to pass the Rand Water K53 drivers evaluation.

**Primary Duties**:
The incumbent will ensure availability of an effective plant and continuous water supply to customers. The critical functions will include:

- Repairing equipment and perform faultfinding by diagnosing faults in loops, strips and repairing of instruments, re-assembling of testing equipment.
- Receive jobcards and attend to breakdowns and faults.
- Carry out routine maintenance and service of plant and equipment in accordance with the work schedule.
- Repairing and faultfinding of equipment by conducting regular equipment checks and carry out new installations with precision and commissioning of installation in accordance with wiring diagrams.
