Our client, a private hospital based in Johannesburg are currently recruiting for a Hospital Clinical Coder who will be responsible, in collaboration with the Hospital Case Management Teams for liaising between the patients, treating clinicians and managed care organisations in order to provide clinical coding that is updated in accordance with the patient response to treatment in order to receive reimbursement from funders.
We are looking for an energised, accurate team contributor for this position in which you will assess clinical statements and convert this information into ICD 10 and CPT coding on the patient account.
The account will reflect the correct treatment path, clinical severity and patient condition through accuracy and completeness of coding.
Liaison with patient, medical doctors, and medical schemes to update clinical codes in relation with the patient’s condition.
**Requirements**:
- Nursing qualification or equivalent (minimum NQF 4)
- Must be SANC Registered
- ICD 10 Coding Intermediate or advanced (non-negotiable)
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Clinical Coding in a Hospital Environment
- Own reliable transport
On offer:
**Salary**: R25,000.00 - R33,000.00 per month
