Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals who believe they have the required skills and competencies to take on this significant position. This role is an executive position within the Girls’ Preparatory. Previous experience in education and a commitment to pastoral care are central to this role. This role will require dynamic and innovative leadership and seeks an open-minded individual who is in tune with the many challenges faced by adolescent girls in the 21st century. Applicants must be ordained Methodist Ministers.
- Share the Christian ethos and values upheld by the College
- Provide for the spiritual and pastoral needs of the students at St Stithians College and the broader Saints family
- A high level of organisational, administrative and communication skills
- An interest and vision for a student-centred holistic education programme, this includes teaching Religious Education & Social and Emotional learning lessons
- A willingness to embrace rapid changes in education and an interest and ability to integrate IT into planning, presentation, administration and organisation
- The ability to be an integral and visionary member of the pastoral care and school management team
- Have appropriate counselling experience
- To be able to deal with conflict and situations requiring active and innovative problem solving
- The ability to interact confidently and comfortably with parents
- Assist in and support the College’s extensive community engagement programmes
- Organise and conduct weekly, quarterly and annual Chapel services
- Have experience in Christian youth work, particularly girls aged 8 to 13
- A willingness to work closely with fellow Chaplains across our campus and participate in the broader and holistic life of the College, including the extramural programme.
- Be willing to work after hours, including weekends in order to fulfil the requirements of the position
- Any staff member working within a school is required to have a sexual offender’s clearance certificate before employment can commence
