**The University of Fort Hare **seeks to appoint a permanent Professional Nurse in the Student Affairs Division (Health Care Center) to be based in Alice Campus

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:

- **Degree/Diploma in General Nursing, Midwifery, Community Nursing and Psychiatry.**:

- **Certificate in Dispensing.**:

- **HIV Counselling and Testing, NIMART.**:

- **Covid19 vaccination certificate.**

**MINIMUM EXPERIENCE**:

- **5 Years experience in Primary Health Care.**:

- **2 Years experience working with the youth.**:

- **Experience in Covid19 vaccination.**

**Added Advantage**:
**Experience in a health facility within an institution of higher learning.**

**KEY COMPETENCIES**:

- **Good interpersonal skills.**:

- **Good communication skills.**:

- **Problem-solving skills.**:

- **Ability to work independently.**:

- **Report writing skills.**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- **Assess and treat minor ailments.**:

- **Offer and provide contraceptives to female students and staff.**:

- **Assess and treat sexually transmitted infections.**:

- **Perform stocktaking to identify expired drugs and stock out.**:

- **Ordering medicines from the pharmacy to ensure stock levels are maintained.**:

- **Attend training and workshops to get updated on guidelines.**:

- **Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.**
