My Client is an internationally renowned leisure and safari operator, offering bespoke, luxury travel solutions to ultra high nett worth international guests, into Southern Africa.

This Cape Town team is looking to bring on board an experienced **Senior Travel Consultant**. Its a role they call Sales Support Consultant, as this person deals directly with the internal client, the international head office, in order to consult on enquiries, new product, itinerary design, routings, activities, restaurants, costings, etc.

**Responsibilities**:

- Handle all quote enquiries, working towards a high conversion rate
- Ensuring the operation is efficient and profitable
- Overseeing ground handling to maintain highest possible service standards, working closely with the Operations team
- Quality control for all guest documentation
- Relationship management
- Product innovation and development
- Awareness of industry trends and developments
- Assist in handling complaints and disputes and ensure resolutions and learnings are implemented
- Constant communication with local team and international internal client
- Offer advice, experience and knowledge when required
- Available to assist with covering the 24 hour emergency cell phone

**Experience & Knowledge Required**:

- Experience operating for inbound tourism across Southern Africa (minimum years)
- Travel sales consulting - dealing with an internal client, offering advice and selling or ability to persuade and influence
- Strong supplier relationships in the luxury sector, experience in bookings, terms and conditions, etc.
- Exceptional product knowledge across the Southern Africa region with the ability to develop new product and innovate on service offering
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), but also including CRM, either Travelogic, Tourplan or Travel Studio
- Personal travel experience in the region a must
- Drivers license not essential but a distinct advantage

**Qualification**
- Tertiary education with preference given to a Diploma or Degree in Travel & Tourism
