**Minimum Requirements**
- Matric
- Accommodation Certificate (beneficial)
- At least 2 - 3 years experience in a similar position in a 4/5 star hotel.

**Job description**

**Operations**:

- Ensuring that delegated tasks are performed to the best of ability.
- Assisting others to lift their quality of work
- Ensuring the correct cleaning procedures are done on different linen and stains
- Complying with laundry SOP’s
- Ensure that all the linen is washed, dried and store daily
- Ensure that guest laundry is washed according to product instructions
- Washing each guest’s laundry separately to avoid missing clothes etc.

**Human Resources**:

- Assisting in the on-the-job-training and coaching of staff, to help them perform their duties effectively
- Participate in progressive discipline, under the guidance of management
- Communicating with managers, peers and subordinates

**Financial**
- Ensuring products are used in an cost effective way and as specified by SOP’s
- Assisting with the up-cycling process to ensure only good quality linen is kept in circulation (Do Good projects, Pink linen etc.)
- Assisting other department with dying of clothing to lengthen clothing life span
- Assisting in the stock take of linen and cleaning products

**Management**:

- Ensuring a safe working environment for staff is maintained
- Supervising staff and ensuring staff understand what their duties are
- Performing quality control checks
- Meeting with management to resolve departmental issues that arise during daily operations

**General**
- Upsell the guest laundry services
- Maintaining good relationships with other departments
- Maintaining a clean work environment that is compliant with company standards
