Stepping Stone Day Care seeks to appoint a ECD principal to be based in Orange Grove, Johannesburg.

**Responsibilities**:
Oversees the operations of the creche and report to the branch manager.
Attend to the daily dealings in the creche operations and activities in the classroom.
Responsible for the implementation of the year plan.
Supervise the staff and ensure that all roles are done effectively.
Schedule and conduct staff meetings.
Ensure that the staff follow work procedures, policies and compliance.
Provide motivation and positive working environment.
Responsible for procurement in the creche.
Organise and conduct parents meetings.
Work with finance to make sure school fees is paid and recorded properly.
Organising events, outings, transport and other logistics.
Prepare stats and reports required by the Department of Education.
Attend meetings organised by the Department of Education.
Prepare monthly reports and stats and submit to the Branch Manager.
Attend to all overall administrative duties of the creche.
Keep an inventory list of the equipment and items in the creche

**REQUIREMENTS**:
**Requirements**:
B. Ed (foundation phase)/three year pre-primary diploma
A member of the South African Council of Educators (SACE)
Certified training in CAPS
A police clearance as per Children Protection Act
A minimum of five years continuous ECD teaching experience
Management, leadership and supervision skills
Conflict resolution and problems solving skills
Timekeeping and Ethical work practices
Ability to manage unit/programme budgets
Reporting skills (written and verbal)
Ability to communicate and transfer skills to the community
Communications skills in at least two SA languages i.e. isiXhosa and English
A valid South African drivers licence
