Soldering Technician

Incumbent will be responsible for reading work instruction and verify that wire is soldered according to specification. Utilize hand tools and automatic tools, and follow ISO and other internal procedures as required.

**Role**:

- Repairing circuit boards.
- Cutting components to fit the board.
- Testing finished boards to check functionality.
- Following technical drawings carefully.
- Must understand and interpret written work instructions.
- Use microscope and soldering equipment to add/remove small components on printed circuit boards, soldering of wires and PC Board repair.
- Twists, bends, trims, strips or filers wire leads of components or reams holes in boards to insert wire leads using hand tools.
- Adhering to safety practices (PPE).
- Complete all other duties as assigned.

- **Nimble Fingers **- Dexterous and able to use small tools with great care to perform detailed work.
- **Understanding Technical Drawings **- Be able to follow specific diagrams with specific requirements.
- **Hand-eye Coordination** - Be precise when soldering or using handheld tools on small components or boards.
- **Quality Service** - Exude great quality of service and consistency.
- **IT Skills **- Be able to evaluate stock levels, often using computerised systems to record levels.

**Skills/Qualifications**:

- Must have at least Grade 12.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Minimum of 3 years soldering experience.
- Must have previous experience working in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience of assembly.

- Gauteng, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
