CNC Programmer/setter/operator

Mammoth Technologies is looking for a **CNC Operator / Programmer / Setter** to assist with the Production in our Workshop and to program and set CNC machinery safely and accurately in order to produce high quality products.

**Requirements**:

- Grade 12
- 5 Year's Experience on HAAS and FANUC Machines
- Experience and extensive knowledge of CNC Machine Programming will be advantageous
- Milling, Lathe and Turning Experience
- National Certificate: CNC Production Machining
- Experience in a production/engineering environment
- Able to read technical drawings
- Speak, read and write English

**Main duties and responsibilities**:

- Program, set and operate CNC Machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding and milling
- Analyse job orders, drawings, and specifications
- Translate instructions into computer commands to allow the machines to perform the correct functions
- Set up machines for production and do continuous inspection to ensure quality products
- Inspect and measure finished products/items and compare them with requirements to determine if the process and product have been completed as per specifications
- Set tool selection, machine speed and feed rates as per specifications
- Determine the sequence of machine operations and select proper cutting tools needed to machine work pieces
- Operate and monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operations to ensure sufficient production and minimize unplanned interruptions
- Ensure machines is in working order, kept clean and maintenance is done when required
- Good housekeeping
- Comply with all company policies, standards, and procedures
- Comply with health and safety policies and procedures and safety regulations at all times
