Cardiac Radiographer

Conduct cardiac catheterizations, angiograms, and other cardiovascular imaging procedures. Operate and maintain fluoroscopy machines, digital imaging systems, and other specialized Cardiac Cath Lab equipment. Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, monitoring vital signs and administering medications as directed. Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care. Document and maintain accurate patient records, procedure logs, and required paperwork. Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives, adhering to radiation safety and infection control standards. Respond effectively to emergency situations, providing support in critical scenarios. Stay updated on advancements in cardiac imaging technology through ongoing education and training.

Duties and Requirements:
Cardiac Radiographer (Cath Lab) Requirements and Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program with a focus on cardiovascular or interventional radiography. Current registered as a diagnostic radiographer with HPCSA,. additional certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CVIR) will be advantageous. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab, with a strong background in cardiovascular imaging procedures. Proficient in operating Cardiac Cath Lab equipment and technology. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Team player with a positive attitude and commitment to patient-centered care.
