As the Divisional CIO, you will lead the end-to-end Technology team in a fast-paced, continuously changing environment and drive operational excellence throughout your team. You will play a critical role in building and leading a strong technology and digitally skilled team to support the business, shaping a team culture which promotes and celebrates experimentation, agility and collaboration and setting a sustainable pace for your team’s work. You will be responsible for helping your team to flourish through thought-leadership, team mentoring, knowledge sharing, giving frequent feedback and creating opportunities for team members to learn and grow. The Divisional CIO is an Exco level role reporting directly to Administration and Technology

**WHAT WILL YOU DO?**
- Define and drive the technological vision for Rand Mutual Life and RMA ODMWA together with the AIT CEO
- Develop and maintain IT Strategy plan and milestone roadmaps covering Applications portfolio, Infrastructure and Organization and skills with a long-term horizon
- Accountable for the entire Applications portfolio
- Make architecture decisions to ensure a strong, stable, and scalable product with our current tech stack
- Act as a central stakeholder in negotiations with internal and external partners and third parties on platform integrations
- Manage and implement integrations with 3rd-party technology platforms
- Constantly evaluate technological advancements and innovative solutions to drive continuous product improvement.

**WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE?**
- Knowledge of business policies, processes and procedures, legal compliance
- NQF Level 7: Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field
- Proven experience as a CIO or similar leadership role with 5+ years’ experience
- Demonstrable knowledge of current and anticipated global trends in corporate IT environments.
- Experience working with third-party integrations.
- Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders through clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Management of resources (financial and human)
- The ability and know-how of both IT and business to be able to think strategically and visionary about the role and contribution of IT to the business as well as the ability to convert concept and vision into action and implementation.
- You will need to have a proven track-record of understanding the implications and mechanics of embedding technology and digital change in organizations to deliver new mindsets and ways of working
- Strong and proven leadership/management skills and competencies in working in a distributed and diverse organization in a challenging and changing environment.
- Delivery orientated and target focused with an ability to operate at both strategic and operational level.
- Excellent top communicator, leader, and motivator of people with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to ‘think-out-of-the-box’ / lateral thinking with a balance short and long-term thinking.
- High drive/self-starter/proactive and anticipate requirements
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Strong co-ordination, prioritisation, organisational and planning skills
