Software Infrastructure Specialist required for a client site in Johannesburg.

Requirements is as follows
- Grade 12
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology
- MCSE certification is essential
- CompTIA Linux+ or similar
- 5 - 8 years’ IT software infrastructure experience
- 1-3 years cloud Azure and AWS experience advantageous
- Experience with Cloud, Agile, IaaS and SaaS
- ITIL V4 Foundation
- AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification

Azure Fundamentals Certification
- Install, configure, upgrade, monitor and maintain operating system software and associated software and utility products, in support of business processing requirements and SLA in accordance with established routines.
- Support and maintenance of current on premise and Cloud (AWS and Azure) platforms which includes but not limited to the following technologies, HP Synergy, HP3PAR, Citrix, Windows, REHL.
- Good understanding of back up technologies (Zerto, CommVault)
- Good understanding of the Hyper-V and VMware virtualisation platforms
- Participate in detailed level technical solution definition and design during the implementation phase with the goal of providing reliable, stable and operationally sound software that meets the business requirements.

Provide technical advice and support for the installation,

testing, tuning, diagnosing problems, repairing, upgrading and maintenance of both externally and internally supplied system software such as operating systems (Microsoft and Linux) and hypervisor (Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare and SCVMM) technologies.

Research, evaluate, analyse, and develop software and system solutions. Understand the nature and business impact of requests, perform the required analysis, and develop technical specifications that are easy to understand and deliver.
