Reelstand Operator

**Job Desciption**:
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ensure correct paper size, grammage and check QTMS loaded
- Assist with paper breaks and change over
- Fault finding
- Management of excess paper and prevention of spoilage
- Ensure accurate preparation of reels to maintain desired quality within time tolerance
- Assist on the press when required
- Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained
- Adherence to safety procedures and operational maintenance

**Educational Requirements**:

- Matric or equivalent

**Experience Requirements**:

- 1-2 years’ experience as a Reelstand Operator
- Exposure to the Press room environment

**Skills and Competencies**:

- Basic paper and Reelstand knowledge
- The ability to work independently on the assigned responsibilities
- Show initiative to improve the work environment
- Safety consciousness
- Must be able to work fast and accurately
- Flexibility to work shifts and long hours
- Being medically fit for the working environment
- Excellent time and attendance
