**A Lecturer (Independent Contractor) vacancy exists at the Waterfall campus in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences; the following qualification for the first semester of the 2023 academic year**:

**Minimum Qualification Requirements**:

- Ideal: Bachelor of Arts Honours/ Bachelor of Social Science Honours degree in Sociology. Alternatively: Postgraduate Diploma, MA/ MPhil, PhD/ DPhil qualification in Sociology. NQF 8 qualification in social development, policy, and development.

**Minimum Work Experience Requirements**:
**Working Conditions**:

- Availability to lecture part-time during the week, between 8:00am - 5:30pm (on campus)
- Deliver module content as prescribed in Module Outline
- Provide a student support function through consultations, where necessary
- Grade all assessments for assigned classes

- Preference will be given to South African Citizens and Permanent Residents of South Africa in possession of proof of permanent resident status.
