**Job Description**:

- Your day-to-day duties will include:

- Receive and follow instructions from Engineering Foreman/Artisan
- Perform necessary maintenance and repair work on equipment
- Perform basic fault-finding activities on defective units and maintenance actions
- Request equipment and stock requisitions required
- Completing job cards and description of work and spares used
- Perform dismantling, repair, re-assembly and installation tasks
- Report any malfunctioning to Engineering Foreman/Artisan
- Complying with maintenance/breakdown schedules
- Completing role administration requirements
- Comply with Operational Risk Management Programme - (A1 Safety)
- Follow work instructions to set standards and procedures
- Ensure proper communication of the required work
- Ensure that material is not wasted
- Ensure that all required tools, material and spares are available to perform tasks
- Communicate to engineering personnel any unexpected problems
- Report to Engineering Foreman/Artisan when task complete
- Accompany and support Engineering Foreman/Artisan when inspecting work
- Complying with maintenance schedules
- Compiling accurate shift and work order reports
- Completing and signing off allocated work orders
- Completing job cards and description of work and spares used
- Participating in meetings
- Compiling safety, injury, risk and incident reports
- Assisting during breakdowns or emergencies

**This role is in the Engineering Department at a band C1 level reporting to the Engineering Foreman.**
- Qualifications
- Certified Competent as a Stope Serviceman (UG hard rock)
- 18 months’ previous experience as Engineering Repairperson Assistant Multi Discipline/ Assistant
- Experience as a Stope Serviceman would be an advantage
- Code 8 driver’s license
