As a Videographer, you will be responsible for producing high-quality videos that showcase our lodge's wildlife, safari experiences, and natural surroundings. Your videos will play a crucial role in promoting the lodge and enhancing the guest experience.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- ** Wildlife Filming**: Capture footage of wildlife in their natural habitat, including game drives, birdlife, and scenic landscapes.
- ** Safari Experience Documentation**: Film safari activities and guest interactions during game drives, ensuring footage adheres to ethical guidelines for wildlife observation.
- ** Promotional Videos**: Produce promotional videos highlighting lodge amenities, accommodation options, dining experiences, and special events.
- ** Editing and Post-Production**: Edit video footage to create engaging and cohesive videos that align with the lodge's branding and marketing goals.
- ** Collaboration**: Work closely with the marketing team to develop video concepts, storyboards, and scripts that effectively communicate the lodge's unique offerings.
- ** Equipment Maintenance**: Maintain and manage video equipment, ensuring it is in optimal condition for filming in various outdoor conditions.
- ** Safety and Compliance**: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, particularly in wildlife areas, to ensure the well-being of both guests and wildlife.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- FGASA Qualification (Field Guide Association of Southern Africa): Essential for understanding wildlife behavior and ensuring ethical filming practices.
- Proven experience as a videographer, preferably in a wildlife or outdoor setting.
- Proficiency in video shooting, editing, and post-production software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
- Creative storytelling abilities and a keen eye for capturing memorable moments.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the lodge team.
