**Location**: West Coast, Western Cape Province

**Duration of Contracts**: 5-year fixed term contracts.

**Nurse Advisor x 2: (Ref Acc-22)**

**Main purpose of the job**

The incumbents will support a roving team providing technical support and Direct service delivery to the Department of Health sites in the District for both DS and DR TB patients. The incumbents will contribute to the provision of the district approach to all aspects of quality improvement in TB clinical care.

**Key performance areas**
- Provide direct service delivery via a roving team to DOH sites for both DR and DSTB patients
- Deliver and address issues of quality in health systems including clinical services such as adult tuberculosis screening and care, screening for malnutrition, paediatric TB diagnosis, linkage to care and treatment and contact tracing.
- Implement the defined QI Programme within allocated areas.
- Integrate preventative health services and awareness of social determinants of health.
- Provide on-site mentorship to healthcare workers on quality improvement principles
- Review challenges and achievements and institute corrective action.
- Integrate feedback from reports into Programme implementation plan and subsequent progress reports.
- Identify training needs of staff for Programme implementation (Internal and external), develop training plans and conduct on-site training sessions at health facilities.
- Participate in ongoing mentorship Programmes.

**Required minimum education and training**
- Diploma in General Nursing (with specialization)
- Nimart Certificate

**Minimum work experience**
- 4 years’ experience in a public health or NGO setting

**Professional Body registration**
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council

**Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities**
- TB experience o Certification in HIV Management and dispensing.
- Knowledge of MS Office.
- Exceptional organizational and administrative skills.
- Attention to detail and able to prioritize workload.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of Clinical Systems and Data Management.
- Experience working in a donor funded environment/NGO project-based organization.
- Valid Driver’s license and willingness to travel
